Last week we had the pleasure of welcoming Filipe Pinho Pereira (Founder & CEO of Oktogon Labs) to Crab Tech for a workshop on Vibe Coding, a concept that’s quickly gaining traction in AI-assisted development.

Throughout the session, we explored how Vibe Coding aims to lower the traditional barriers of programming, making it possible for more people to create their own tools and digital products. The goal isn’t to replace developers, but to expand the universe of builders.

Key takeaways from the workshop:

• Prompting as dialogue: interacting with AI works best when treated as an ongoing conversation rather than a one-off command.
• Systems before syntax: thinking in terms of architecture and systems design first, before diving into code.
• Human creativity + AI speed: the real value comes from combining both, using AI as an accelerator without losing the human perspective.
• Effective practices: short feedback loops, regular checkpoints, leveraging existing APIs, and planning before coding.

Beyond the technical aspects, the workshop was also a chance to reflect on the future of development: how we can move faster from idea to product while keeping the focus on real user impact.
